Where can I use my Insight Prepaid MasterCard?

You can use your Card everywhere MasterCard debit cards are accepted worldwide, including ATMs.

Is there a minimum and maximum amount I can load on my card?
The minimum amount of funds that you can load onto your Card is $10.00 per load and the maximum amount is based upon the source of the funds, up to $2,500 with a photo ID.

Can I withdraw cash from ATM machines with my card?
Your Insight Prepaid MasterCard card may be used at ATM machines or at Point of Sale terminals with a PIN pad that accepts STAR®, Pulse®, Maestro® and Cirrus® using the PIN provided in connection with your Card. You can obtain a PIN by calling 1-877-344-6744. Select “Checking” when using an ATM.

How do I reload my card?
You can add funds to your non-personalized card by returning to the agent where the card was obtained.

Are there any special types of transactions I should know about before I shop?
Yes, there are special types of transactions that you should know about. With these transactions, your Card may be "authorized" or have money “held" for more than the actual amount of the purchase until the final transaction is complete-meaning that those "authorized dollars" are not available for you to spend elsewhere. The most common examples include: Hotels and Auto Rentals.

Can I use my card at a pay-at-the-pump gas station?
Not currently. However, to make your purchase, just go inside the store to pay.

Is my card safe to use on the Internet?
Yes, the purchases that you make on the Internet using your Insight card are as safe as with any other MasterCard prepaid card.

Can anyone see the purchases I am making?
No one except you has access to view your transaction history and we will only access your transaction history for the purpose of assisting you or for researching potential fraudulent activity on your card.

Am I allowed to spend more money than I have on the card?
No. However, you should be aware that occasionally a merchant will accept your Card for payment without obtaining an electronic authorization from Insight. This is a rare occurrence, but if it happens, and the amount of the transaction was more than the available balance on your card, you are still responsible for this payment and a shortage fee will be assessed against your card balance. Please refer to the Cardholder Agreement for more information.

How do I check my card balance and transactions?
You can view your account history online by visiting www.myinsightcard.com. You may also obtain your account balance and/or transaction history by calling 1-877-344-6744. Paper statements are available upon request for a fee.

Will I receive a monthly statement?
Yes, online at www.myinsightcard.com.

What should I do if my card is lost or stolen?
If you believe that your MasterCard has been lost or stolen call us immediately at 1-877-344-6744. You will have the option of obtaining a replacement card with your available balance transferred, minus the replacement card fee. Also, if you believe that an unauthorized transaction has occurred, notify us immediately.

What do I do with the card after I’ve spent the money?
You can reload it with more cash at any time or just keep it in a safe place until you are ready to do so.
